STATE OF THE STADIUM
(1) Acquiring more land; raising and levelling the play area;
(2) Compound wall on three sides;
(3) Drainage gutter on all four sides;
(4) Toilet block with a tiered gallery over it.
Mandatory Additions Required:
(1) Two Players Rooms, one Officials’ Room. Advisable to have tiered gallery over them.
(2) Grass topping. Astro turf is ideal, but too costly. End-May we will close the grounds and seed for grass, hopefully Monsoon will help. End August it would be ready.
(1) On the other side of the Pavilions, have a four tier gallery all along the length of the field.
(2) Flood lighting. The Arumanoor area is football crazy and late evening matches will attract larger crowds.
Accounts submitted to the CA for audit shows Rs.32,07,317 spent as of August 31, 2018. Donations received is only Rs.2,86,980. I had kept Rs.35L of my personal funds as a loan to the Stadium Project. Once it is over, it will this month, work can be progressed only if more infusion of funds is generated. It can be done IF NOT BY WAY OF DONATIONS, by selling advertising space in the Stadium or by finding people and or companies interested in owning their own Pavilions in the Stadium. The Stadium is ready to have prospects visiting to examine the facility. Meaning, any of you who has contacts may encourage the prospect to have a fact-finding tour. I will be glad to escort them.
The MVHS School leased another parcel adjoining the Stadium for a Hostel. I have already collected Rs.13,18,000 from my family members and has Rs.25,00,000 pledged. Adding to it my pledged Rs.25L, I will be able to finish two Dorms with all the paraphernalia with 26 beds. Construction will start on September 27, 2018 to make it ready for the next school year. It will be a gift from my family to KovalamFC.
Thank you for your support.
